High Court gets tough on unauthorised construction and drug menace

The High Court of H.P. has directed the Chief Secretary to the State of H.P. to file his personal affidavit regarding the unauthorized construction and running of hotels/commercial establishments without statutory sanctions, more specifically at Village Kasol in Kullu. The Court also directed the Director General of Police, H.P to file the action taken report in the matter.

Ludhiana youth drowned in New Zealand

A Punjabi youth was drowned while swimming at Maori Beach in New Zealand. He has been as Akhil Tangri (21) of Ludhiana. According to sources the deceased had gone to the beach to along with two friends. All had gone to celebrate the birthday party of another friend, but Akhil was swept away by a giant sea wave.

Kashmir Valley : Security forces gunned down 3 militants

As many as three militants have been gunned down by the security forces in Kashmir valley. The encounter took place in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, when the security forces received an input that the militants were hiding in the area. The three militants who were killed on Thursday in a gun fight with security forces are believed to have connections with Pakistan based militant group.
