A Punjabi youth was drowned while swimming at Maori Beach in New Zealand. He has been as Akhil Tangri (21) of Ludhiana. According to sources the deceased had gone to the beach to along with two friends. All had gone to celebrate the birthday party of another friend, but Akhil was swept away by a giant sea wave.
