The Central government on Wednesday announced increased dearness allowance and dearness relief to 4 per cent from existing 2 per cent from January 1, 2017, benefiting 48.85 lakh employees and 55.51 lakh pensioners. A government spokesperson on Wednesday informed that the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved release of an additional instalment of dearness allowance to central government employees and dearness relief to pensioner with effect from January 1, 2017.

Haryana Housing Board successful allottees list for flats in Rohtak, Yamunanagar

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Wednesday presented Andhra Budget 2017-18 (AP Budget 2017-18).

 

Presenting the Andhra Budget 2017-18 (AP Budget 2017-18), Ramakrishnudu said the finance accounts <!–more–>finalised by the Accountant General of Andhra Pradesh show a Revenue Deficit of Rs. 7,302 crore and a 46 Fiscal Deficit of Rs. 21,863 crore for the period from April 01, 2015 to March 31, 2016.

 

The Revenue Deficit and Fiscal Deficit for the period from April 01, 2015 to March 31, 2016 was 1.2 per cent and 3.58 per cent of the GSDP respectively.

 

For the Financial Year2017-18, the AP government proposed an expenditure of Rs. 1,56,999 crore, with revenue expenditure estimated at Rs. 1,25,912 crore and capital expenditure estimated at around Rs. 23,078 crore.

 

The 2017-18 Budget Estimates entail an overall increase of around 15.70 percent over the 2016-17 budget estimates. While the revenue expenditure is estimated to increase by around 10.28 per cent, the capital expenditure is estimated to grow by around 44.54 per cent over the 2016-17 financial year.

 

The estimated Revenue Deficit is around Rs. 416 crore and the Fiscal Deficit is estimated at around Rs. 23,054 crore. The fiscal deficit will be around 3.00 per cent of the GSDP, whereas the Revenue Deficit would be around 0.05 per cent of the GSDP.
