US General Election 2016: Donald Trump elected as next US President

Republican candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday won US General Election 2016 with 276 votes and has been elected as the new US President.

As per reports, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton is trailing Trump at 209 votes against 244 votes that have been won by Donald Trump so far.

Trump is at present leading in Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Hampshire and his win in these states would clear his path for White House.

Trump is only short of 26 votes to register victory over Hillary Clinton as she is only leading three or four states and if she manages to win in these states she would fall well short of majority mark of 270 votes.

There is already disappointment in Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s camp as they are apprehending certain loss in US presidential elections. While the crowd at Donald Trump’s headquarters is quite upbeat with crowds chanting slogans in favour of Republican candidate. Some of them even chanting slogans ‘lock her up’ (Hillary Clinton) on the basis of her leaked emails.
